Microsoft has announced its impressive Xbox Game Pass lineup for September 2023, Wave 1. The buzz is largely around Starfield (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), officially available on September 6 as a day one title (launch times here). However, if Bethesda’s newest world doesn’t catch your interest, there are plenty of other offerings for subscribers. Available today is Gris (Cloud, Console, and PC), which is making a return to the Game Pass library. The game is about a hopeful young girl who is lost in her own world and dealing with a painful experience in her life.

From the creators of Hyper Light Drifter comes Solar Ash (Cloud, Console, and PC), available starting September 14. Players assume the role of Rei, a determined Voidrunner, set on saving her planet. The other major title for September’s Wave 1 lineup is Lies of P (Cloud, Console, and PC), available starting on September 19 as a day one title. Lies of P offers a unique soulslike take on the Pinocchio story. It’s set against the dark background of the Belle Epoque era and players will have to adapt themselves and their weapons to face untold horrors.

In case you missed it, these titles are also now available on Xbox Game Pass: Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition, Call of the Wild: The Angler, and Humankind. In terms of DLC and game updates, No Man’s Sky: Echoes was released on August 24. Sea of Thieves: The Legend of Monkey Island – The Quest for Guybrush is also available now.

There are several games leaving Xbox Game Pass on September 15:

  • Amazing Cultivation Simulator (PC)
  • Aragami 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventure of Krypto and Ace (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Fuga: Melodies of Steel (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Metal Hellsinger (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization 6 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Tainted Grail: Conquest (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Train Sim World 3 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
