The initial wave of Game Pass titles for May 2024 was a bit underwhelming, but the subscription service is making up for it in the latter half of the month. As previously announced, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is available today on Cloud, Console, and PC. It’s arguably the game that put Josef Fares and Starbreeze Studios on the map, who have since gone on to make the Game of the Year winner, It Takes Two. Tomorrow, the award-winning puzzle adventure game Chants of Sennaar will be available on Cloud, Console, and PC.

On May 16, two titles will be added to the service courtesy of EA Play: EA Sports NHL 24 (Cloud) and Immortals of Aveum (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S). The former needs no real introduction, as it’s the latest iteration of EA Sports’ hockey entry, while the latter is the single-player, first-person magic shooter that released in August 2023.

One of our most anticipated games of the year, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, finally arrives on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S on May 21 as a day one title on Game Pass. It’s the sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, a truly unique and memorable experience. In it, Senua embarks on a brutal journey of survival through Viking Iceland.

May 23 plays host to a pair of day one Game Pass titles: Galacticare (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) and Hauntii (Cloud, Console, and PC). Galacticare is a sim game where you are the Director of an interstellar healthcare company and need to build and manage hospitals to satisfy various alien species. Meanwhile, Hauntii is a puzzle game with a handcrafted art style that blends line art and animation with a striking palette.

The month continues to deliver with Moving Out 2 arriving on Cloud, Console, and PC on May 28. The party game is best played with up to three friends, but you can work solo to become the world’s best Furniture Arrangement & Relocation Technician. On May 30, Humanity is available on Cloud, Console, and PC. The 2023 puzzle-platforming title has players becoming a Shiba Inu to help reconstruct humankind. Also available on May 30 is Lords of the Fallen on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. The dark fantasy action RPG is a Soulslike entry where players take on the role of one of the fabled Dark Crusaders on a quest to overthrow Adyr, the demon God.

Xbox also gave a sneak preview of what’s coming in early June, with Firework and Rolling Hills available on June 4. Firework will be available on PC and is a game where players are a rookie police officer who participates in a re-investigation of an accidental fire at a funeral that resulted in a massacre. A day one release with Game Pass, Rolling Hills will be available on Cloud, Console, and PC and has players serving up sushi as a robot chef in a life sim about running your own restaurant in a cozy village.

As usual, games will be leaving Game Pass at the end of this month, and here’s the list for May 31:

  • Chicory: A Colorful Tale (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Farworld Pioneers (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Pac-man Museum Plus (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Little Witch in the Woods (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Railway Empire II (Cloud, Console, and PC)
