The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD will be available for digital download on September 20, 2013 exclusively on the Nintendo Wii U for $49.99. In addition, Nintendo is launching a Limited Edition Deluxe Set which includes a 32 GB Wii U Deluxe console and a digital download of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD for $299.99.
Those that want to obtain a physical copy of the game will have to wait until October 4, 2013 but will be gifted with a special edition Gold Pack that will be available at retail stores for $49.99.
In a way, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD is a nice tribute to Nintendo pioneer Hiroshi Yamauchi, who passed away today at the age of 85. The Nintendo Gamecube was the last system Yamauchi helped bring to the market, which is the console the original Wind Waker was released on.
