Even if you’ve been living under a rock, chances are you know the Nintendo Switch 2 launches on June 5, 2025. Preorders were initially supposed to go live in the U.S. on April 9, but uncertainty over the Trump Administration’s tariffs forced Nintendo to delay. Now, preorders in the U.S. are officially set for April 24, but time zones will matter. Here’s a breakdown of where and when you can preorder the Nintendo Switch 2 from major retailers. Don’t forget—you can also register your interest at the My Nintendo Store starting May 8 for a chance to preorder.

Best Buy

Best Buy Switch 2 preorders are going live on April 23 at 9:00 PM Pacific or April 24 at 12:00 AM Eastern. The retailer is offering numerous Switch 2 packages that bundle accessories and games.

GameStop

GameStop Switch 2 preorders are going live on April 24 at 8:00 AM Pacific (11:00 AM Eastern) online. Preorders will also be available in store when stores open.

Target

Target Switch 2 preorders are going live on April 23 at 9:00 PM Pacific or April 24 at 12:00 AM Eastern.

Walmart

Walmart Switch 2 preorders are going live on April 23 at 9:00 PM Pacific or April 24 at 12:00 AM Eastern.
