This year’s Steam Summer Sale was a pleasant surprise because we finally got some deep discounts on games again. Even better, most of the titles on the Deep Discounts list were fantastic games, including Disco Elysium – The Final Cut, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and Sid Meier’s Civilization VI. It’s been so long since we’ve seen 90 percent or higher discounts on popular games, so we’re glad to see they’re back. Although the 2024 Steam Summer Sale just ended, we already know the dates for the 2025 Steam Summer Sale, along with dates for other sales and fests in the first half of next year.
The information was revealed in the Steamworks group, which is primarily for game developers. Along with the expected Spring and Summer Sale events, the first half of 2025 will feature a Real-Time Strategy Fest, Idler Fest, Couch Co-Op Fest, Visual Novel Fest, and more. We’re particularly interested in the Creature Collector Fest, as this year’s darling Palworld has clearly made an impact in the genre. As for the 2025 Steam Summer Sale, it will take place from June 26 to July 10, 2025.
