Today is the first Nintendo Direct for 2014 and the event will be approximately 41 minutes in length. According to Nintendo, today’s Nintendo Direct live stream will cover 2DS, 3DS and Wii U games launching by the end of spring. The North America Nintendo Direct live stream will kick off at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET. Check back for all the announcements from Nintendo once the event starts.
Games expected to be discussed today include Yoshi’s New Island for the 2DS and 3DS handheld consoles, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart 8. It is likely that Nintendo might show some coverage of Super Smash Bros. and Yarn Yoshi while we expect them to make a couple of new announcements to kick off the year, especially since the event is over 40 minutes long.
