Nintendo is giving Splatoon Raiders its own spotlight, with a dedicated Splatoon Raiders Direct scheduled for June 30 at 7:00 AM Pacific (10:00 AM Eastern). The roughly 15-minute presentation will dig deeper into the upcoming Switch 2 game, which Nintendo dated for July 23 back in April and confirmed for a standalone Direct during this month’s general Nintendo Direct.
As someone who has loved all three Splatoon games, I’m really looking forward to this one. Splatoon Raiders is the first-ever spinoff in the series and a single-player-focused shooter, casting you as a mechanic raiding the Spirhalite Islands alongside Deep Cut, the trio from Splatoon 3. It also supports co-op for up to four players online or locally, so there is room to bring a squad along.
Nintendo Treehouse: Live will follow the Direct with even more Splatoon Raiders gameplay, so there should be a solid chunk of footage to take in before launch. The Direct streams live on YouTube on June 30, with Splatoon Raiders launching exclusively on Switch 2 on July 23.
