Nintendo has been quiet on Splatoon Raiders since its surprise reveal on the Nintendo Today! app last June, but that silence has now been broken. The Switch 2 exclusive gets a release date of July 23, 2026, alongside a new gameplay trailer that finally gives us a much better look at what the Splatoon spinoff is really about.

Splatoon Raiders is a single-player-focused action shooter where players take on the role of a mechanic exploring the mysterious Spirhalite Islands alongside Deep Cut, the swashbuckling musical trio from Splatoon 3. The game leans into customization, letting players tweak their character’s appearance and loadout with mechanical gadgets and ink-splattering weapons as they raid islands, hunt treasure, and splat waves of Salmonids. While the adventure is primarily single-player, one member of Deep Cut will join as a powerful bot, and players can also team up with up to three others online or via local wireless.

Pricing follows Nintendo’s new digital-cheaper-than-physical structure for Switch 2 exclusives, with the digital version priced at $49.99 and the physical version at $59.99. That’s a welcome departure from the $69.99 and $79.99 price tags on some other Switch 2 first-party titles, and it should make Splatoon Raiders an easier pickup for anyone who’s been on the fence about the spinoff.

Splatoon Raiders launches exclusively for the Switch 2 on July 23, 2026, and preorders are available now on the Nintendo eShop.
