The Sony PlayStation E3 2014 press conference will kick off at 6:00 PM PT, but Sony will start previewing what it has to announce at 5:45 PM PT. Earlier today, Microsoft came out swinging with 90 minutes dedicated to just games, revealing plenty of Xbox One exclusives and in-development titles that excited gamers worldwide. Now it’s time for Sony to answer the competition with its press conference that will likely have plenty of surprise announcements and reveals. Expect news from Sony’s developers such as Naughty Dog, as the company will focus on exclusive games heading to the PlayStation 4 in the coming future. There’s also Sony’s VR Project Morpheus that the company will hopefully share more details about during its press conference.
Last year, the Sony PlayStation E3 press conference revolved around the PlayStation 4, but now that the console has been out for quite some time now, Sony will likely focus on upcoming games for the PlayStation 4, but will also reassure PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita owners that there’s still plenty more to come for those consoles.
Expect coverage of The Order: 1886, Rime, Uncharted 4, DriveClub and Destiny to be shown off during the press conference. Rumors include coverage of Gran Turismo 7, but don’t expect Final Fantasy XIV or Kingdom Hearts 3 to be making an appearance.
