A new Tropico 5 gameplay trailer has been released by Kalypso Media revealing the first footage of gameplay for the next instalment of the Tropico franchise. In Tropico 5, players will once again return to the remote island of Tropico to expand their dynasty’s reign from the early colonial period to beyond the 21st Century. Players will face all new challenges in the game while advancing trading mechanics, technology and scientific research. Most importantly, Tropico 5 will feature, for the first time in the series’ history, multiplayer for up to four people.

Tropico 5 will be released this summer for the PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4. Tropico 5 beta signups are now available.
