Nintendo has confirmed that Toon Link, from the recently release Wind Waker HD, will be a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U, 2DS and 3DS. Toon Link will join the roster alongside regular Link and will hopefully play differently than normal Link.
Toon Link was also seen in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was originally released for the Nintendo Wii on March 9, 2008.
Recently, Nintendo confirmed Peach would be a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. and it appears that the company is going the route of introducing new characters along with game releases. Does that mean that when Pokemon X and Pokemon Y is released on October 12 we’ll see a Pokemon-related character added to the roster? We’ll have to wait and see!
