Square Enix has confirmed that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call will be heading to the U.S. later this year. Curtain Call is the sequel to the original Theatrhythm Final Fantasy which was released in North America on July 3, 2012. Like its prequel, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call will be exclusive to the Nintendo 2DS and 3DS handheld consoles and will feature over 200 songs and 60 playable characters across the storied Final Fantasy franchise.

Final Fantasy fans will also get content from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Final Fantasy Tactics, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Key new features to Curtain Call include Versus Battle Mode, where players can compete head-to-head with friends and other users; Quest Medley Mode where songs from the vast Final Fantasy music catalog make up unique quests and players can choose their own routes through short, medium and long quests; New Characters including Barret, Yuna, Benjamin, Ramza and Zack; and Collecta Crystarium where clearing songs and winning battles allow players to obtain Collecta Cards that boost their character stats.

“Music is an integral part of FINAL FANTASY,” said Ichiro Hazama, producer. “As with the previous title, we wanted to shine the spotlight on that music for fans to re-experience their favorite moments from across the entire FINAL FANTASY catalogue.”
