One of my favorite games of 2024, Unicorn Overlord, has sold over one million units, Atlus announced. The tactical strategy RPG comes from Vanillaware, the creators of one of the best games I’ve ever played, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. To celebrate the milestone, the team shared a new illustration from Takashi Noma featuring fan favorites Berengaria, Melisandre, and Rosalinde.

Originally released on March 8, 2024, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch, Unicorn Overlord is set on the continent of Fevrith and focuses on the story of Alain. The game features over 60 unique characters that can be recruited, with some even being missed depending on the choices the player makes.

In my Unicorn Overlord review, I found the game to be a compelling entry in the tactics RPG genre and highly recommend it to any fan of tactical or strategy RPGs. Although I was a bit disappointed by the story, especially considering how much I enjoyed the writing in 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Unicorn Overlord still shines with its diverse cast of characters, each with unique and memorable personalities.

It’s official – Unicorn Overlord has sold over 1 million units worldwide! ⚔️

To celebrate this huge milestone, here is a special Berengaria, Melisandre, and Rosalinde illustration from Vanillaware’s Takashi Noma.
