One of our most anticipated games of the year, Unicorn Overlord, is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Switch. The strategy RPG comes from Vanillaware, the developers behind 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, one of the best games I’ve ever played. After spending the past couple of weeks in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth working towards the Platinum trophy, I’m looking forward to taking a break from Cloud and company to explore Alain and his company’s story.

Unicorn Overlord features over 60 unique characters and players can customize their party however they like. The game is more about properly managing your squads and positioning than it is about micromanaging units in combat. If you’re curious about Unicorn Overlord but not sure if it’s your cup of tea, there’s a generous demo that gives you plenty of time with the game, so you can decide whether it’s for you or not.
