We’ve known since June 2025 what the full roster of characters is for Street Fighter 6 as part of year 3. Following the release of C. Viper last October, Alex is now set to enter the ring sometime in early spring 2026. No confirmed release date was announced, but he will be available in World Tour, Battle Hub, and Fighting Ground. The trailer and its description set the tone, though, for Alex, who we did see in Street Fighter V. This time around, it appears he’s turned full heel, as he’s being referred to as the Dark Devil and The Man With No Allies.

While I haven’t revisited Street Fighter 6 outside its first year, I’m happy to see its roster continues to grow with many fan favorites. As someone who grew up playing every variation of Street Fighter II, I was really happy to go back to the franchise with Street Fighter 6. In my review, I said that Street Fighter 6 is to the Street Fighter series as Monster Hunter: World was to the Monster Hunter series, in that it significantly lowered the barrier to entry without ruining the core gameplay experience.

Since the game’s launch, we’ve seen several new characters, including Akuma, M. Bison, Elena, Terry Bogard, Sagat, and Mai Shiranui. After Alex joins the roster, year 3 will conclude with Ingrid sometime in late spring 2026.
