The Stellar Blade demo is officially arriving on March 29 at 7:00am Pacific (10:00am Eastern), ahead of the game’s April 26 release. I say “officially” because the demo accidentally launched early over two weeks ago but was promptly removed from the PlayStation Store. According to a post by Kim Hyung Tae, Director of Stellar Blade, the demo takes place from the very beginning of the game. Players will be introduced to Eve, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad, who is sent to Earth on a mission to reclaim the planet. This leads up to the very first boss fight.

Along with a tutorial introducing players to basic combat features, they’ll have the opportunity to explore Eidos 7. The Director also teased that there’s a little surprise for players who complete the first stage. Progress from the demo will carry over when the full game releases on April 26, so players can resume from their last checkpoint.
