During today’s State of Play presentation, PlayStation offered an extensive and detailed look at the upcoming action RPG, Stellar Blade. Developer Shift Up also announced that the game will launch on April 26, 2024, with preorders starting on February 7. The game looks to draw inspiration from numerous franchises, but I’m getting some very strong NieR: Automata vibes. It’ll be an interesting one to keep an eye on in the following months leading up to its launch.

In Stellar Blade, players follow the story of Eve, a warrior who descends from an off-world Colony to defeat the Naytibas—humanity’s enemy. Back on Earth, Eve meets Adam and Lily, and together they decide to take on the Naytibas. Along the way, Eve’s party will work with other surviving citizens who are gathered in the last human city, Xion. Xion connects to a semi-open world region, called the Wasteland and the Great Desert.

Players preordering Stellar Blade ($69.99) will receive early unlocks including the Planet Diving Suit, Classic Round Glasses, and Ear Armor Earrings, all for Eve. The Digital Deluxe edition, priced at $79.99, includes all preorder incentives, plus additional items like the Stargazer Suit for Eve, Stargazer Wear for Adam, and more, along with 2,000 SP EXP and 5,000 Gold in-game currency for your quest to reclaim Earth.
