StarRupture, which we’ve spent over 60 hours with in the last two weeks, has sold over 500,000 units since its Early Access launch on January 6, 2026. We were hoping we’d have our first impressions post published by now, but we’ve been so busy playing that we haven’t had time to actually write. That, and we haven’t quite gotten to the end of all the current content, and we would really like to before publishing our thoughts. In a nutshell, though, it’s a great factory automation game similar to Satisfactory, with a bigger emphasis on combat and base defense. The combat, which mainly uses guns, is actually really fun, as the gunplay feels solid.

With the announcement of its sales milestone, developer Creepy Jar also confirmed StarRupture reached 42,864 peak concurrent players, and it has garnered over 935,000 wishlists. If you’re a fan of games like Satisfactory and Factorio, don’t hesitate to pick StarRupture up, especially at its discounted $15.99 price. There’s a lot of content currently in Early Access, although the present end game does drag out a bit with the lack of fun toys to play with. We’re confident Creepy Jar will continue building on this excellent foundation, though.

We’re hoping to get our first impressions (Early Access review) published sometime this week, so keep an eye out for our full thoughts.
