StarCraft II‘s second and final expansion, Legacy of the Void, will be released on November 10, 2015. In announcing the release date for the standalone expansion, Blizzard Entertainment also released the opening cinematic that sets the stage for players to join the fight to reclaim Aiur and vanquish the universe’s most ancient evil. In Legacy of the Void, players take on the role of Hierarch Artanis, leader of the mighty Protoss race.

The stage is set years after the homeworld of Aiur fell to the merciless Zerg swarm and now, armed with a powerful fleet of warnships known as the Golden Armada, the Protoss is poised to reclaim its world. Of course there an ancient evil named Amon that threatens the mission as well as the fate of the entire galaxy.
Legacy of the Void is currently available for pre-order that also grants immediate access to the beta as well as three “Whispers of Oblivion” prologue missions that feature Dark Templar Zeratul. The standard edition of the expansion will be priced at $39.99 and is available both in physical box and digital download.
