Star Wars Zero Company picked up both a release date and a marquee cameo at Summer Game Fest, where developer Bit Reactor and publisher EA confirmed the single-player turn-based tactics game launches August 27, 2026 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC. The new trailer closed on a look at Anakin Skywalker in his Clone Wars days, wielding his blue lightsaber before his turn to the dark side.
Set in the twilight of the Clone Wars, Zero Company casts players as Hawks, a former Republic officer leading a squad of professionals for hire pulled from across the galaxy. Bit Reactor is positioning it as a cinematic, choice-driven campaign, where decisions at both your base of operations and on the battlefield shape how each mission and playthrough unfolds. Squads are built from a range of Star Wars archetypes, from scoundrels to astromechs to a Jedi, and operatives who fight together develop bonds that unlock new combat synergies.
Players can customize Hawks’ combat specialization and appearance and fill out the roster with their own custom Star Wars characters, tailoring loadouts and abilities to their playstyle. The team has also said the campaign carries permadeath and limited saves on higher difficulties, raising the stakes for those squad bonds. The game was first revealed in April 2025 at Star Wars Celebration Japan, where Bit Reactor unveiled it in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games.
For anyone ready to commit early, preorders open June 5 at 6:00 PM Pacific (9:00 PM Eastern), ahead of the game’s August 27 release.
