Rockstar Games, the developers of Grand Theft Auto, announced a Sony PlayStation 3 exclusive titled Agent back in 2009. But since then, not much has been heard about the game other than being set in the 1970s with “players travelling across the globe tackling a world of espionage and assassins.” Two years ago, Rockstar and Take-Two did confirm that it was in development, and it appears that more news of Agent might surface soon.
Two trademarks have been recently registered by Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games’ parent company. Both trademarks are for use with video games, computer games, online video games, and various printed materials including manuals and guide books. Agent will be exclusive to PlayStation 3 and at its reveal, Sony’s Jack Tretton noted that Sony “expects Agent to have the same must have value as Grand Theft Auto.”
With Grand Theft Auto V recently announced to be released on September 17, 2013, Rockstar Games’ fans will at least have that to hold them over until more news of Agent surfaces.
