Square Enix Cafe & Shop Los Angeles, which opened in Little Tokyo back in June, is running a limited time Final Fantasy VII menu from October 16, 2026, through January 21, 2027. The lineup covers food, drinks, and desserts designed around characters and locations from the series, and the cafe says the selection will rotate throughout the promotion rather than staying fixed for the full three months. The cafe’s own website bills it as a Final Fantasy VII Remake Series collaboration, and the trilogy’s final entry, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, is currently set for April 8, 2027.

The collaboration also adds Final Fantasy VII designs to the cafe’s existing reservation placemat and coaster giveaways. Guests with a table reservation receive a randomly selected placemat featuring various Square Enix properties, now including new Final Fantasy VII artwork, and there’s a lamination station inside the cafe for anyone who wants to preserve it for an additional fee. Every food, drink, or dessert item ordered also comes with one random coaster, again pulling from a mix of Square Enix properties with the new Final Fantasy VII designs added in. The promotion is split into two parts, each with its own exclusive set of coasters: Part One runs from October 16 to December 3, 2026, and Part Two runs from December 4, 2026, to January 21, 2027, while supplies last.

Square Enix said when the cafe was first announced in April that its menus would rotate with the games the company is promoting. I mentioned at the time that I was looking forward to paying it a visit, which won’t surprise anyone who has read my Final Fantasy VII Rebirth review or my list of the best games I’ve ever played. Dining guests are also greeted by hand-drawn wall art from character designer Tetsuya Nomura, and the cafe is open Monday and Thursday through Sunday from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM at 316 E 1st Street in Little Tokyo. The shop stays open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:30 AM to 7:00 PM, though the cafe itself is closed those two days. Reservations and the full announcement are on the official Square Enix Cafe & Shop Los Angeles website.
