It’s going to be a long while before we can get our hands on The Witcher 4, but if you’re desperate for more Geralt of Rivia, Nerial, Devolver Digital, and CD Projekt Red have something for you. Reigns: The Witcher has been announced, taking the Reigns series of swipeable adventure and storytelling to the world of The Witcher. It launches on PC and mobile on February 25. If you’ve never heard of Reigns, it’s a multimillion-selling, award-winning series from Nerial.
In Reigns: The Witcher, players will get a new twist on the White Wolf’s legend. The tale is told through Dandelion the Bard, as players weave Geralt’s legend through branching stories, bardic embellishments, and thousands of possible narrative combinations. The game is all about swiping, from contracts or conspiracies to angry villagers and sorceresses. Players will have to choose whether to swipe left or right on each demand, and each choice has its consequences.
Joining Geralt in Reigns: The Witcher are several familiar faces, including Yen, Triss, Vesemir, and other allies and adversaries. Just remember, all of this is being filtered through Dandelion, so expect even the most boring of events to be a bit embellished. Players can also look forward to some minigames, where Geralt will take on ghouls, rotfiends, and other enemies.
No pricing was announced, but you can now wishlist Reigns: The Witcher on Steam.
