Ubisoft announced Rayman Legends Retold during today’s State of Play, a reimagining of the 2013 platformer Rayman Legends. The game launches October 1 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. It will also be available on Ubisoft+, GeForce Now, and Blacknut.

Led by Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan, Rayman Legends Retold rebuilds the 2013 original with 3D visuals, a new story, and fully voiced cinematics. Rayman, Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus, and Murphy set out to restore peace to the Glade of Dreams, which is threatened by a shadowy villain spreading chaos across the realms. The game supports solo play or up to four players in couch co-op.

Rayman Legends Retold features returning levels, dragon rides, and the Cave of Trials, along with four all-new musical stages and a reimagined Glade of Dreams. It adds a never-before-seen sixth realm, boss battles, and hidden Teensies to rescue. Kung Foot returns with improved controls, power-ups, and customizable rules. The soundtrack pairs original themes with new compositions from Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope.

Rayman Legends Retold will run $39.99 for the standard edition. Every edition includes Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, an updated version of the 2D platformer with 4K resolution, 60 FPS, new collectibles and rewards, haptic feedback on compatible controllers, and quality-of-life features. Preordering any edition includes the Hoodlum Havoc Pack, which adds two costumes for Rayman and Globox inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.

The editions break down as follows:

  • Standard Edition: the base game and Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition
  • Deluxe Edition (digital only): adds the Retro Pack of four costumes and an in-game Art Gallery
  • Launch Edition (retail only): adds a printed Glade of Dreams map, a set of three lithographs, and a slipcase
  • Deluxe Upgrade Pack (digital only): the Retro Pack and Art Gallery
