Ratatan, the rhythm roguelike from Patapon creator Hiroyuki Kotani whose Kickstarter blew past its goal in under an hour back in 2023, has been pushed back again. Developer Ratata Arts and publisher Game Source Entertainment are moving the full 1.0 release from July 16 to October 15, 2026. That is a delay of roughly three months.
Ratata Arts attributes the delay to multiplayer stability work and bug fixing, both informed by feedback from the Steam Early Access version that has been live since September 2025. The studio also cites final platform adjustments it says are needed for a stable launch, with the 1.0 build still targeting PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. Of course, anyone already playing in Early Access keeps access through the wait, and existing save data carries into the full version.
To make up for the wait, players who already have a preorder in will get Deluxe bonus content as compensation, handed out as DLC codes. The package includes the Cobun Set (Cobun x8), the Equipment & Accessories Set (Special Weapons x8 and Accessories x1), and a Supply Set, the same extras bundled into the Digital Deluxe Edition. The codes are limited to existing preorders.
