Pokkén Tournament is heading to the Nintendo Wii U home console worldwide starting spring 2016. Pokkén Tournament started out as an arcade fighting game and now every Pokémon enthusiast worldwide will be able to enjoy it next year from the comforts of their own home. Developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Inc., Pokkén Tournament blends popular Pokémon with hit fighting game series Tekken. Featuring tight gameplay and incredible control, the game aims to appeal to gamers of all ages even those that have no experiencing playing a fighting game.

A launch date for the game has not yet been announced, but the news comes during the Pokémon World Championships that are taking place this weekend in Boston. Those that can’t wait for the game to arrive on the Wii U next year can check if their local Dave & Busters will have it as the arcade-restaurant chain based in North America will test the game in select locations.
