Sony Interactive Entertainment has shared the PlayStation Store’s most downloaded games for all of 2024, and it’s an interesting mix of AAA, old favorites, and a few surprises. This list proves just how popular EA Sports titles are and provides further evidence of why EA’s formula of annual releases continues to be a tradition. The top downloaded PlayStation 5 game in the U.S. and Canada regions isn’t really a surprise: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. It was nice to see our favorite game of 2024, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, find its way on the list. However, surprisingly, Hogwarts Legacy is right behind it, a title that was released in early 2023. Even more surprising is that Game of the Year winner Astro Bot is towards the bottom of the list.
