PlayStation Plus is starting the back half of 2026 with a July lineup that swings from a blockbuster shooter to co-op high fantasy to a retro-styled 2D RPG. All three games are available to PlayStation Plus members from July 7 until August 3.
Headlining the group is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, the entry that arrived in November 2023 with a campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies bundled together. The campaign is a direct sequel to Modern Warfare II and pits Captain Price and Task Force 141 against ultranationalist Vladimir Makarov. Multiplayer brings back the 16 launch maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare II, rebuilt with updated visuals and new modes, while Zombies is an open-world PvE mode that lets multiple squads team up across its largest map yet.
Switching gears entirely is For the King II on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, a co-op RPG that blends roguelite runs with tabletop-style adventuring. You can gather a party of up to four players or head into the land of Fahrul alone, where the once-beloved Queen Rosomon has turned on her subjects and forced them into servitude in the mines. It comes from the team behind For The King and runs on an updated engine, with reworked systems aimed at returning players and newcomers alike.
Rounding out the trio is CrossCode on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, a 2D action RPG with a retro, 16-bit-inspired look. It pairs real-time combat and dungeon puzzle-solving with the kind of equipment and skill customization you’d expect from a full RPG, all wrapped around a sci-fi story. The idea is old-school action-adventure dungeon design crossed with RPG depth, where you read enemy weaknesses in fast fights and tune your build as you go.
