PlayStation Plus is continuing its recent trend of great games for its monthly lineups. In July, PlayStation Plus added Diablo IV, The King of Fighters XV, and Jusant; this month, it delivers Lies of P, DayZ, and My Hero One’s Justice 2. For many, the highlight of the month is Lies of P on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, a soulslike adventure that puts a spin on The Adventures of Pinocchio. The grim reimagining sends Pinocchio on a quest to find Mr. Geppetto as he journeys through Krat, a Belle Époque–inspired city. The 2023 title won over many hearts, and if you haven’t checked it out yet, now is a great time. If you love the base game, the Lies of P: Overture DLC—which launched in June 2025—is also available at an additional cost.
Joining Lies of P is DayZ on PlayStation 4, a hardcore survival game that has had its fair share of controversy. Recently, its reception has been more positive among PC players. If you’re somehow not sick of zombies and survival games, join with up to 60 players and see if you can survive this post-apocalyptic world.
The final title is My Hero One’s Justice 2 on PlayStation 4, an over-the-top 3D arena fighter set in the My Hero Academia universe. It’s probably no coincidence that the game is added to the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games library, considering the anime’s final season airs in October 2025. All three games will be available to PlayStation Plus members starting on August 5.
Sony also announced that, as part of the ongoing PlayStation Plus 15th anniversary celebrations, members can claim a special set of 15th Anniversary Avatars for free on August 5. These include avatars from Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, God of War Ragnarök, and Twisted Metal.
