April is shaping up to be one of the busier months for new releases, and the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup is doing its part to add to the backlog. Three titles will be available to all PlayStation Plus members from April 7 until May 4, headlined by a soulslike that’s come a long way since its rocky launch.

Lords of the Fallen on PlayStation 5 is easily the highlight of the lineup. The dark fantasy action RPG from CI Games originally launched in October 2023 to a mixed reception, but the developer has continued to improve the game significantly with over 50 free updates, including a Version 2.0 overhaul that added shared progression co-op, a free Friend’s Pass, and refined combat. Players take on the role of a Dark Crusader journeying through the realms of the living and the dead to overthrow a resurrected demon god. With nine character classes and hundreds of weapons, it’s worth revisiting if you bounced off it at launch.

The next title is Tomb Raider I-III Remastered on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, which brings the original three Tomb Raider adventures to modern platforms, complete with all expansions and secret levels. The collection includes upgraded graphics with the option to toggle back to the original polygon look at any time, which is a nice touch for nostalgia. There’s also a Challenge Mode that lets you replay levels with custom modifiers and unlock new outfits that enhance Lara’s abilities. If you’ve been meaning to revisit where it all started for Lara Croft, this is a solid way to do it.

The final title is Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream on PlayStation 5. It’s a co-op action game where players team up as characters from across the Sword Art Online series to take on high-difficulty boss fights. The game supports up to 20 players online, split across five parties of four, with 21 characters from various arcs of the series. Its inclusion on PlayStation Plus likely isn’t a coincidence, as Bandai Namco’s Echoes of Aincrad is set to launch on July 10, giving the franchise a chance to hook new fans before the full-fledged RPG arrives.

Since these three games go live on April 7, PlayStation Plus members have until April 6 to add March’s Monthly Games (PGA Tour 2K25, Monster Hunter Rise, Slime Rancher 2, The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road) to their library.
