This year, PlayStation is celebrating its 30th anniversary as the original PlayStation console launched in North America and Europe on September 9, 1995. We already got the PlayStation-inspired 30th Anniversary Collection last year, and now Sony has announced a large-format photography book titled PlayStation: The First 30 Years and a collaboration with Reebok for PlayStation 30th Anniversary sneakers. The hardcover features 400 pages measuring 375 mm x 295 mm and showcases never-before-seen consoles, controllers, and design studies throughout PlayStation’s history. There are also insights from engineers and designers, including Ken Kutaragi, Teiyu Goto, and Yujin Morisawa.

The book is exclusive to Read-Only Memory and is available in a Standard Edition ($125) and a Deluxe Edition ($325), the latter limited to 1,994 units. The Deluxe Edition features exposed binding, a foil-stamped clamshell presentation box, five-color neon ink box lining, and a photographic print signed by Teiyu Goto and Benedict Redgrove. Both editions are scheduled to ship in spring 2026.
As for the collaboration with Reebok, there will be three sneakers, all of which pay homage to the original PlayStation console. Each design is connected to one of PlayStation’s original launch regions, with the InstaPump Fury 94 for Japan, the Pump Omni Zone II for the U.S., and the Workout Plus for the United Kingdom. The PlayStation x Reebok 30th Anniversary sneakers are set to launch in October, and all pairs come in unique, limited-edition packaging that mirrors the console’s original launch design.
