At this point, Persona fans know not to get their hopes up for the reveal of Persona 6. We’ve gotten almost a decade’s worth of Persona 5 content, from spin-offs to mobile games, with not so much as a teaser for the next entry in the series. Yes, we did get Metaphor: ReFantazio, which for many felt like Persona 6, but it just wasn’t the same in terms of setting and tone. Now, the franchise is getting ready to celebrate its 30th anniversary, starting with the launch of a special website.

As of right now, there’s not much on the site except for a splash image featuring the games’ protagonists over the years. It does promise that the next update will arrive on January 8, 2026, but it could be any number of things. Persona 4 Revival was announced in June 2025 with a brief trailer for the remake, and we haven’t heard or seen much of it since. If Atlus intends for that to launch in 2026, it’s possible we’ll get an update for it. Hopefully, though, we’ll finally hear something about Persona 6 this year, even if it’s just a small teaser confirming its premise. The gap between Persona 5 and Persona 6 is now longer than Persona 4 and Persona 5. Persona 4 originally launched in Japan in 2008, followed by Persona 5 arriving in 2016.
