Nintendo has revealed that Lady Palutena has officially joined the Super Smash Bros. roster. The trailer also ended with a glimpse of Dark Pit which means plenty more Icarus action will be joining the next Super Smash Bros. game. Lady Palutena is a fictional goddess from Nintendo’s Kid Icarus series and has made appearances in previous Super Smash Bros. titles, but was always an unplayable character. The trailer showed off Palutena and her moveset which includes rocket jump, jump glide, reflect, super speed, angelic missile, celestial fireworks, black hole and a mega laser.
It isn’t immediately clear if Dark Pit is also joining the roster or if Nintendo is simply teasing us. But it’s likely that he will make an appearance in some form in the new Super Smash Bros.
