Announced at the latest Nintendo Direct, One Piece: Grand Gourmet trades the high seas for the kitchen, casting the Straw Hat Crew in a casual restaurant management sim from Kairosoft and Bandai Namco. It’s set in the world of the One Piece series, putting your cooking ahead of any fighting.
Players begin with a small floating ship, the Baratie Number Two, and work alongside the Straw Hat Crew to grow it into the greatest dining spot on the seas. Cooking with chef Sanji, you’ll gather ingredients, create new dishes with Devil Fruit abilities mixed in, and customize the space with themed decor drawn from series locations. More than 400 characters from One Piece show up in a new pixel-art style as both customers and staff, leading to interactions you won’t see in the anime or manga. For those who have played Kairosoft titles in the past, like Game Dev Story, you probably know what to expect with this.
One Piece: Grand Gourmet launches October 23, 2026 on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Android, iOS, and PC via Steam. On Switch 2, it supports Joy-Con 2 mouse controls for navigating menus and laying out the restaurant. Preorders open later today on the Nintendo eShop.
