Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a brilliant JRPG that was released in North America earlier this year on January 22, 2013. And while this was North America’s first taste of the series, Japanese gamers actually had a DS version of the game released on December 9, 2010. Namco Bandai has announced that its Ni no Kuni series has sold approximately 1.4-million units worldwide.

Featuring artwork done by legendary Japanese animation company, Studio Ghibli, Ni no Kuni was a pleasant surprise for PlayStation 3 JRPG fans this year. Starring Oliver, the game tells a tale of two worlds and was developed by LEVEL-5.

If you haven’t had the chance to check out Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and you’re a JRPG fan, you really should. The game tells a beautiful story and features an innovative combat system that draws inspiration from the Pokemon series. You collect familiars throughout the game that each party member can use in battle, with the ability to swap them out based on the task at hand.

Combined with its stunning artwork and epic soundtrack, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is on our list of all-time favorite games for the PlayStation 3.
