My Arms Are Longer Now Is a Stealth Comedy About a Long Arm
My Arms Are Longer Now, Jackbox Games’ first published title, launches March 11, 2027 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC.
Jackbox Games, the studio behind the Party Pack series, now has a release date for the first game it’s publishing from another developer: My Arms Are Longer Now, a 2D stealth comedy from Melbourne studio Toot Games, launches on March 11, 2027, for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC. The date was announced with a new gameplay trailer during today’s Indie World Showcase. When Jackbox first revealed the partnership back in March, the PC version was planned for this fall with consoles to follow in 2027, so every version now arrives on the same day.
The premise is exactly what the title says, as players control a thief whose one extremely long, snake-like arm is the main tool of the trade. Each level is built around environmental puzzles that mostly amount to stealing anything that isn’t nailed down, whether that’s cash, bikes, or somebody’s pet, all while keeping anyone from figuring out where the arm actually starts. A detective is on the thief’s trail throughout, so the arm has to be snaked through vents and under seats, and at one point it gets disguised with a sock to get past a security guard. The press release also confirms you can steal candy from a baby and, in its words, maybe (definitely) slap the baby. A free demo is currently available on Steam for anyone who wants to see how the arm handles.
My Arms Are Longer Now is the debut game from Toot Games as well as the first title Jackbox has published since it expanded into a publishing label earlier this year, which makes March 11 a first for both companies.
