Minecraft has sold over one-million copies on the PlayStation 3, Mojang has announced. The sales figure is impressive considering the title was released on December 17, 2013 for the console.

It’s worth noting however that Minecraft sold over one-million copies on Xbox Live in merely five days.

“It is crazy considering the game was released just before Christmas last year,” Mojang noted on its blog. “We are super grateful for the support and we are very thankful for your dedication and I hope you will like the future updates we have planned for you.”
