Heading to the Minecraft Marketplace this spring is the Minecraft D&D DLC, where players will get to explore five iconic Forgotten Realms locations including Candlekeep and Icewind Dale. In this official Dungeons & Dragons DLC, adventurers will start off by choosing their class, like Barbarian or Wizard, before heading off to take on beholders, mimics, mindflayers, and dragons.

The new, original Minecraft adventure will let players customize their characters’ stats and a 20-sided dice will be rolled to determine how to proceed in fully-voiced dialogue. Naturally, you’ll want to play with friends to get a unique D&D experience in the world of Minecraft.

“We’re incredibly excited to partner with Wizards of the Coast, to introduce a brand new, story-driven Dungeons & Dragons DLC to Minecraft! We can’t wait for the community to dive in and experience a blocky take on the world of D&D,” said Riccardo Lenzi, Senior Producer at Mojang Studios.

The Minecraft DLC was just one of many new partnerships Wizards of the Coast announced during its D&D Direct video presentation earlier today.
