Max Caulfield, the main protagonist in the original Life is Strange, is getting a new adventure. Announced during today’s Xbox Games Showcase, Life is Strange: Double Exposure sees the iconic character making a return to the franchise and it’s launching on October 29, 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will also come to Nintendo Switch at a later date. In the new tale, Caulfield is the photographer-in-residence at the prestigious Caledon University and discovers her closest new friend, Safi, murdered and dead in the snow. Although Max swore she would never use her powers again, she rewinds time to figure out what happened to Safi, only to open a path to a parallel timeline where Safi is still alive. Max knows the killer will strike again in both versions of reality and will have to shift between the two timelines to not only solve the crime but prevent the same murder.
