Marvel Cosmic Invasion has been on our radar since it landed as a day one Game Pass title back in December. Today, publisher Dotemu (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Absolum) and developer Tribute Games revealed what’s next for the D.I.C.E. Awards-nominated brawler, confirming two paid DLC updates in 2026 alongside the milestone that more than 1.5 million players have joined the fight against Annihilus since launch.
DLC 1 is available today across all platforms for $3.99, recruiting Cyclops and The Thing into the roster. The Thing brings his cosmic radiation-induced might to the fray as a grappling-focused powerhouse, with surprising mobility that lets him bounce across environments to get the jump on enemies. Cyclops, who Tribute Games points out is one of the most-requested additions by fans, makes quick work of foes with his signature kinetic energy beams, including diagonal optic blasts that give him a clean answer to aerial threats. Two new characters for $3.99 feels like a fair price, especially with the base game still sitting at $29.99.
DLC 2 is slated for Fall 2026 and will introduce an entirely new game mode alongside additional playable characters, with specifics to be revealed later this year. The fall window happens to line up with the game’s one-year anniversary, so don’t be surprised if that’s the celebration Tribute Games is building toward. Combined with an 88 percent Very Positive rating on Steam, it’s a strong support roadmap for a game we said was right up our alley back when it launched.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion and the DLC 1 update are available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC.
