Xaviant has released an announcement trailer for its newest title, Lichdom, a first-person action game with an emphasis on role playing and crafting spells. Lichdom is a single-player game that takes players on an adventure of godly proportions, pitting humans against the forces of worldly decay. Players will be able to wield magic like a weapon across a giant and unpredictable world, facing cunning enemies and daunting challenges. Your goal in the game? Simple, control the world and everything in it.

According to Xaviant, the magic system in Lichdom is “designed carefully to deliver a connection to the player’s destructive and manipulative power not found commonly in a ‘shooter.'” The combat and magic system is designed from the ground up to deliver an emergent spell-casting experience that is built to allow players to experiment and replay over and over.
