No Man’s Sky debuted a new trailer during Sony’s E3 2014 press conference that suddenly swept the Internet by storm. Currently under development by Hello Games, the earlier reveals of No Man’s Sky almost gave it a cult, underground following that has become mainstream since E3 2014. Needless to say, Sony is looking to leverage the excitement and so is Hello Games, so together they’ve released a new video that tells the story behind the game and what players can expect once it’s released in the future.
The video touches on how No Man’s Sky will feature a truly open universe where exploration will involve seeing things that no one else has ever seen before in the game. No other player or even the developers will know what your experience will be like in No Man’s Sky as it will truly be unique to you. The game will feature parallel universes, where players will be able to choose whether to share their discoveries with other players. Though they’ll never see another player, they will be able to make their mark on other worlds in addition to their own.
