King Dedede from the Kirby franchise has been confirmed for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. title for the Wii U, 2DS and 3DS consoles. Kirby’s long-time nemesis is the 21st fighter announced for Super Smash Bros. and will be playable in both versions of the game. This isn’t the first time that King Dedede has made an appearance in a Smash Bros. game, being a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
The announcement of King Dedede coincides with the release of Kirby Triple Deluxe in Japan, which continues a pattern of Super Smash Bros. competitors being announced alongside new game releases.
