Crackshell and Modus Games have announced Hammerwatch II, set to release this summer on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. As its name suggests, Hammerwatch II is the sequel to Hammerwatch, a hack ‘n slash action-adventure game that was originally released in 2013. You might have also heard of Heroes of Hammerwatch, which is also set in the same universe as Hammerwatch and created by Crackshell.

Look for Hammerwatch II to offer an improved, richer Hammerwatch experience with all new environments to explore. Like in the previous game, players will embark on a journey to quest, collect items, fight enemies, and take on bosses either solo or up to four-player co-op. Players get to choose from five different classes: Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Wizard, and Warlock. If you’re new to the Hammerwatch series, the franchise is heavily inspired by Gauntlet. If you’ve played the original Hammerwatch, the sequel will also bring an entirely new map creator, while PC players will have modding support at launch.

Hammerwatch II: The Chronicles Edition is available for pre-order for $39.99 and includes the original remastered Hammerwatch and additional color palettes, facial items, and character voice pack.
