Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns will be released on October 23 and to get you excited for the upcoming expansion to the MMORPG, ArenaNet has released a launch trailer at TwitchCon 2015. As the first expansion for Guild Wars 2, Heart of Thorns will take place in a new jungle region called the Heart of Maguuma. Within the Heart of Maguuma, there will be four open world maps made of three distinct biomes: the roots, the floor and the canopy heights.

Heart of Thorns will also introduce the Mastery system, an account-based PvE progression system available to level 80 characters. It will also add the Revenant profession, a new heavy armor profession that channels and controls the power of the Mists. There will also be elite specializations, structured PvP, a new game mode called Stronghold and additions to the World vs. World including a new map called Desert Borderlands.

Guilds will also be able to claim and grow a guild hall in the Heart of Maguuma, providing a home for players to gather and organize for events and guild missions.
