Somehow, we’re well into the second half of January 2026 already, which means another batch of new titles joining the Game Pass library. It also sounds like there might be more announcements for Game Pass during Developer_Direct on January 22, so stay tuned for that. Before then, there are a few games to be excited about, starting with Resident Evil Village on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers. The game is also part of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog January 2026 lineup, in hopes of getting people excited for Resident Evil Requiem that’s launching on February 27. Resident Evil Village is the eighth main entry in the franchise, taking place years after Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, and it features Ethan Winters in a haunted European village.
Also available today, January 20, is a day one release, MIO: Memories in Orbit, on Cloud, Handheld, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Since it’s a day one release, it’s only available to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, part of last year’s controversial changes to Game Pass. MIO: Memories in Orbit is a metroidvania set in a vast, decaying world that has been reclaimed by nature and robots. Players take on the role of Mio, a nimble android who sets off to explore labyrinthine environments, taking on rogue machines while trying to uncover lost memories.
Tomorrow, January 21, sees the arrival of Death Stranding Director’s Cut on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers. It’s Sam Porter Bridges’ first adventure, and if you’ve been interested in checking out Hideo Kojima’s latest franchise, this is a great way to do it. The first time I played the original Death Stranding, I found it oddly relaxing and somewhat of a puzzle game, traversing with packages to mountain tops. There’s a lot of interesting and unique mechanics, and enough gameplay and story to keep me interested through playing its sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach last year.

Two additional games are being added on January 21. The first is RoadCraft on PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers, a game that has players operating a fleet of over 40 authentic construction vehicles, tasked with rebuilding what’s broken following a wake of natural disasters. They’ll focus on clearing debris, repairing roads and bridges, and restoring essential infrastructure in physics-driven environments solo or with up to three other friends. The other title is Ninja Gaiden Ragebound, available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers. It’s a new side-scrolling entry to the Ninja Gaiden series and it comes from the team behind Blasphemous. If you missed the classic gameplay of NES Ninja Gaiden, this game is for you.
We then get a small break before The Talos Principle 2 arrives on January 27 for PC and Xbox Series X|S. Available to Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers, this first-person puzzle experience is a fan-favorite. The sequel builds on the first game’s philosophical themes, adding new environments and mind-bending challenges. If you love puzzle games, there’s no reason to skip The Talos Principle 2.
The following day, January 28, brings two games, both on Cloud, PC, and Console for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers. The first is Anno: Mutationem, an action-adventure game featuring a 2D-meets-3D Cyberpunk world. Players take on the role of Ann, a skilled and combat-trained lone wolf who is on a personal mission in a city filled with sinister mega-corporations and mysterious fringe groups. The other game is Drop Duchy, a hybrid roguelite game with block-dropping mechanics to collect resources, recruit troops, and more. It looks to be an interesting puzzle strategy game that I might check out since its style is right up my alley.

On January 29, MySims: Cozy Bundle heads to PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. This is actually a re-release of two games, MySims and MySims Kingdom, where players befriend cute characters and uncover stories, locations, and more. MySims focuses on rebuilding a town, while MySims Kingdom is all about helping a cute magical land become an even better place. If that doesn’t interest you, something entirely on the opposite end of the spectrum is also available on January 29: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers, this sequel won over the hearts of many when it launched in September 2024. Take on the Tyranid swarms as Space Marine Demetrian Titus in a new campaign, either solo, or in three-player co-op.
Heading into February, it starts with Indika on February 2 on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. This story-driven adventure is set in an alternative 19th-century Russia and tells the tale of a young nun who is on a surreal journey of self-discovery. The game blends exploration and light puzzles with dark humor and serious themes of faith and morality. If you’re looking for something unique, Indika is a proper choice.
The final title announced in this lineup is Final Fantasy II for February 3 on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers. It’s the Pixel Remaster version of the game, starring Firion, Maria, Guy, and Leon. The original Final Fantasy was added on January 8, so it appears we will likely get one entry each month until all six games from the Pixel Remaster are added.
With all these new games joining the lineup, it also means there are a few titles leaving on January 31:
- Shady Part of Me (Cloud, PC, and Console)
- Cataclismo (PC)
- Starbound (Cloud, PC, and Console)
- Lonely Mountains Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Console)
- Paw Patrol World (Cloud, PC, and Console)
- Citizen Sleeper 2 Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Console)
- Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Console)
