If you were a bit disappointed by the Game Pass January 2025 Wave 1 lineup, perhaps the list of titles joining the service in the second half of January will get you excited. Available starting today is Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Available to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, this is a day one release where players ski down the slopes in a breakneck race, supporting up to eight players with cross-platform multiplayer. Joining the lineup tomorrow, January 22, is Flock on Console with Game Pass Standard. Flock is a co-op game all about flying and collecting flying features with friends.
Six other games are joining the lineup on January 22: Gigantic: Rampage Edition, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Magical Delicacy, Tchia, The Case of the Golden Idol, and Starbound. Gigantic: Rampage Edition will be available on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers. It’s the definitive release of the 5v5 MOBA hero shooter featuring a diverse roster of unique heroes.
The next four titles, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Magical Delicacy, Tchia, and The Case of the Golden Idol, will now be available with Game Pass Standard. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console) comes from Capcom and is a Japanese-inspired, single-player action strategy game with tower defense elements. It’s an artistic and unique experience worth checking out if you haven’t yet on Game Pass. Magical Delicacy (Console) is a pixel art platformer taking place in a unique witchy world, while Tchia (Xbox Series X|S) is a tropical open-world adventure where Tchia is off to rescue her father from the cruel tyrant, Meavora. Finally, The Case of the Golden Idol (Console) is a point-and-click detective adventure game where players will need to solve the twisted mystery of a family’s cursed inheritance.
The final addition on January 22 is Starbound (Cloud and Console) for Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard members. The game is already available with PC Game Pass, so more players can enjoy this Terraria-type game set in space.
On January 28, two day one releases join the lineup: Eternal Strands on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. The former is the debut fantasy title from Yellow Brick Games, which includes veterans from Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Watch Dogs, and Assassin’s Creed. The latter is the latest addition to an ongoing franchise featuring third-person shooter and trap defense gameplay. Supporting up to four players, Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap breaks tradition by introducing roguelite elements into the formula.
The list continues with Shady Part of Me joining the lineup on January 29 on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard subscribers. This is a narrative-focused title that takes players on an emotional and dream-like journey, featuring the voice of Hannah Murray from Game of Thrones and Skins. On January 30, another day one title heading to Game Pass is Sniper Elite: Resistance on Cloud, Console, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members. It continues in the series tradition of blending sniping mechanics with stealth and tactical third-person combat. The full campaign, set in the heart of occupied France, can be experienced in co-op with a friend.
The final title for January is another day one release: Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. The highly anticipated sequel to 2022’s Citizen Sleeper, this is a dice-driven RPG set in a sci-fi world. Players take on the role of an escaped android with a malfunctioning body that finds itself with a bounty and no memory of the past.
Game Pass also dropped the first title joining the lineup in February with Far Cry New Dawn heading to Cloud, Console, and PC on February 4 for Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This 2019 release takes place in post-apocalyptic Hope County, Montana, 17 years after a global nuclear catastrophe.
