Playground Games has shared the PC system requirements for Forza Horizon 6, and the specs are surprisingly reasonable for a game that’s set to be one of the best-looking racers on the market. The game launches on May 19 on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a PlayStation 5 version coming later in the year.

At the minimum tier, you’re looking at an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT, or Intel Arc A380, and 16GB of RAM. That targets 1080p at 60 FPS on the Low preset, which is a pretty accessible entry point. An SSD is required across all tiers, with the Extreme and Extreme RT configurations stepping up to NVMe SSDs. All tiers require Windows 10 or 11 with at least the 22H2 update.

The recommended specs for 1440p at 60 FPS on the High preset bump you up to an Intel Core i5-12400F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, or Intel Arc A580. RAM stays at 16GB. For those chasing 4K at 60 FPS on the Extreme preset, you’ll need an Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT, and 24GB of RAM.

The top-end Extreme RT tier is for those who want ray tracing enabled at 4K upscaled with 60 FPS. That calls for the same i7-12700K or Ryzen 7 7700X, but with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, and 32GB of RAM. Key PC features include NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 3 and 4, Intel XeSS 2.1, ray traced reflections and global illumination, high uncapped frame rates, ultrawide monitor support, robust controller and wheel support, and compatibility with Steam Deck and the ROG Xbox Ally. As someone who grew up as a massive Japanese car enthusiast, I can’t wait to explore Japan’s roads in Forza Horizon 6, and seeing Steam Deck and ROG Xbox Ally support confirmed is a great bonus for handheld players.
