Final Fantasy VII is heading to the PS4, but unfortunately it’s not what you think. The announcement came during the PlayStation Experience event and certainly got fans excited as the Final Fantasy VII logo was shown in the background while producer Shinji Hashimoto took the stage. The bad news is, the version of Final Fantasy VII that’s heading to the PS4 is simply a port of the PC version that was released on Steam last year. While it’ll feature higher resolution, achievements and more, it’s simply not the remake that everyone has been clamoring for. But for those that have yet to experience Final Fantasy VII and wish to do so on the PS4, it’s a great opportunity when it’s released in spring 2015 and it’ll likely be offered at a discounted price.
