The PC version of Final Fantasy VII is currently on sale at Steam for $5.99. For those still eagerly awaiting an HD remake of the popular role-playing game from Square Enix, the Final Fantasy VII on the PC loaded up with mods might be the closest you’ll ever get.

Final Fantasy VII was originally released on September 7, 1997 in North America for the original Sony PlayStation. It then made its way onto the PC a year later on May 31, 1998. Earlier this year, it was added to Steam’s collection of games on July 4, 2013.
